Holden Youth Soccer opens registration for its in-town Futures and Champions League programs as the Select Board clears the way for October's Dragon Dash road race.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Holden Youth Soccer (HYS) is now taking registrations for its in-town programs, according to the organization's website, which advertises sign-ups for the "In-Town Futures (U6/U8) & Champions League (U10/U12/U4)" programs.

COMMUNITY -- At the July 21 Select Board meeting, members approved a parade permit for the 5K Dragon Dash, scheduled for Oct. 4, 2026. Town Manager Peter Ranzoni told the board that both public safety chiefs had reviewed and approved the event.

The same meeting saw the board approve a public entertainment license, parade permit and common victualer license for Holden Days, set for Aug. 22, 2026, though the meeting excerpt did not detail any athletic components of that event.
